Elements Wild Swim & Sauna

Step into the Elements.

Just ten minutes north of Kendal, hidden within one of CampWild’s Wild Spaces, lies Field End, acres of riverside meadow and ancient woodland where the River Mint carves through rolling Cumbrian hills.

This November, during Kendal Mountain Festival, we’re bringing this wild corner of nature to life with Elements: Wild Swim & Sauna, an immersive fire-and-ice experience created in partnership with PortaSauna, Passenger, and Vango.

£25 per person includes 60 minutes in the Sauna with parking, coffee & cold drinks

Wild camping is possible in another Wild Space on the farm, please enquire for more information.

This is an over-18's event. Children can attend but not swim or use the Sauna. Dogs are not permitted.

There is a 10 minute walk from parking to the Swim/Sauna along a muddy track & across a field.

Field End

Field End Wild Space, in Patton Bridge, near Kendal, Cumbria. Acres of private riverside meadow and ancient woodland nestled in the valley of the River Mint, in a sprawling sheep farm.

Just a 10-minute drive from Kendal Mountain Festival basecamp, with parking provided on site. It is a 5 minute walk from parking to the Elements Site, walking along a muddy farm track.

An Unmissable Experience

Your Elements: Wild Swim & Sauna experience includes:

- Access to a private land with a wild swimming pool on the River Mint - crystal clear, deep, and naturally beautiful.

- Two incredible PortaSaunas fired hot beside the river.

- Campfire & sheltered area to warm up, relax, and connect with others.

- Guidance & support for all levels, whether you’re new to cold water or a seasoned dipper.

Come prepared

Bring your swimwear, towel, and warm layers for after your dip. We highly recommend a beanie, gloves & wetsuit type socks or water shoes for dipping.

We recommend sturdy footwear for walking to the riverbank, and a change of clothes for comfort. Bring extra warm clothes & jackets for after your session. If you have a change robe, this is the time & place for them!

Bring plenty of water & ensure to stay hydrated before, during & after your session. Lots of snacks (obvs).

Critical Information

This is a zero-infrastructure Wild Space: natural, peaceful, and raw.

There are no changing rooms, just nature, shelter, and community. There is a single portaloo at the location you park, but there is nothing at the actual site, which is a 5 minutes walk from parking.

You must be a competent swimmer & understand the risks, that you will be accepting before you book. This is an at your own risk experience.
