A lovely location right next to the river. Easy to find, easy to park, a bit boggy on the small walk (it had rained for 2 days straight so it is expected.) so don't forget your boots or a change of socks. The sound of the river and the sound of nature made for a perfect afternoon, evening and night of relaxation. I will be back :-)

I have now stayed at the site twice, it's a great site. I have found a great area for my hammock and can park fairly near by which has been hand over these colder months as I've taken a little extra kit. Technically fires are not allowed however I was kindly allowed to use a fire pit stile base and burnt my own wood. I'm already looking at dates for my next stay.

Lovely peaceful space tucked just far enough away to make you feel like you're not even on someone's property. Plenty of room to pitch if taking more then one tent and felt completely relaxed and safe while there. The land owner was very friendly when I arrived and made me feel welcome

An idyllic spot even in the middle of winter. Beautiful views and lots of footpaths nearby. Situated below the (very quiet) road, it makes its really accessible if you want to take extra gear. I had more for a winter trip so only having to carry it 2 minutes to the camp was very convenient. The waterfalls and stream created a lovely background noise all night. Pitch was flat and easy to peg in to. I will definitely be back when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the wild dipping which can be done! Thanks for a much needed escape to the wild!

RECONNECT WITH NATURE

These are spaces in nature, almost entirely untouched. In fact some have seen only a handful of people in a generation. The lack of humans have ensured these spaces provide some of the most intimate experiences in the wild you can find now in England. All within a stone's throw of the life we all know.

A HANDSHAKE OF
TRUST & RESPECT

When we set out on our CampWild project, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy. As it currently stands, only 8% of England has a right to roam & less than 0.2% has the right to wild camp. But with over 60,000,000 acres in the UK and with now well over 60,000,000 people living in them - where do we even start in our project to revolutionise access to nature?

The answer. Investing (a lot of) blood, sweat and pennies into building the infrastructure that puts our hosts first. Every little detail has been thought of to build a bridge of trust between our community and landowners, so they they can unlock their gates for the first time to the people who want to escape to the wild.

Our bespoke booking system, Code of Conduct, Snap In-Snap Out process, focus on education and passion for conservation puts a stake in the ground that our hosts can trust. We have already met dozens of incredible landowners who are revolutionising access to nature and we cannot wait to see how our network develops over the coming years.
