Paddle Wild
Welcome to The Wild Paddle, a campout built around water, connection, and slowing the pace. Set at The Grove on the edge of a SSSI Salt Marsh on the Lynher estuary in Cornwall, this weekend is about wild paddling, open fires, and time spent outdoors with good people. We’ll set up camp in The Hay Meadow overlooking the tidal waters, cook together, get stuck into some micro-conservation and spend time on the river exploring one of the most peaceful corners of the South West

Tents Only. Tents must be backpacking tent and be able to fit on your paddle board with all of your kit. (a small bag drop will be possible)
No Dogs or Children.
There is a 1 hour paddle to reach this space along an estuary (paddle experience is needed)

Grove Farm
The Grove sits near Saltash in South East Cornwall, right where the River Lynher winds into the estuary. The Hay Meadow overlooks protected salt marshes and is part of an active rewilding project — a landscape alive with curlews, ospreys, and the occasional white-tailed eagle. It’s wild, open, and completely off the beaten path.

I’ve now been on two campouts with my friend, and each one has been a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed into a warm, open community where it's easy to meet new people and form genuine friendships.
There’s something incredibly powerful about being in nature, away from technology and fully present in the moment. Campwild offers that rare opportunity to switch off completely, reconnect with yourself, and just breathe. Both campouts were filled with wonderful activities, but there’s absolutely no pressure to stick to the schedule. You’re free to relax and take in the surroundings at your own pace.
We’ve stretched out in yoga by the lake, sweated it out in the sauna and then plunged into the ice bath, gone paddleboarding, listened to insightful talks, and even learned how to forage. One highlight was the delicious mushroom and apricot tagine, cooked over the campfire for everyone to enjoy. Every activity is epic and thoughtfully planned.
Then there's the evenings around the campfire! Everyone gathering together, sharing stories, and toasting marshmallows with a few drinks is my favourite part of the campout. There's something so relaxing and magical about a campfire!
These campouts have given me more than just a couple of weekends away. They’ve helped me through a tough year by offering space to reflect, recharge, and gain perspective. I honestly can’t recommend Campwild enough. If you’re looking for community, connection, and a real return to nature, this is the place.
