Absolutely stunning spot, with 3 waterfalls to choose from! One below camp, one on the same level, and one above across the road. Incredibly beautiful, remote and peaceful. We swam, paddled and just enjoyed the space. 100% be back! (Pub is 50min walk away, and super friendly staff - we had pizza (they do takeaway))

We absolutely loved this private spot. The peace and views were incredible, especially the sight of a barn owl flying at night. It’s definitely going to be a regular camp spot for us. We’ll be back!

This space easily makes it into my top three of CampWild spaces that I've been to so far. Really easy to access from the car, the space where you can camp is huge. Grass is very long (August) so a lot of the space would need a bit of flattening out, but just slightly to the left, there was a trodden pathway leading to a large, already flattened area with abundant blackberries and the perfect place to pitch. You could still hear the road from here, but it didn't bother me and at night when it quietened down, the babbling stream was a beautiful sound. If you continue round to the left of the meadow, you'll find your way down to the stream - it's really shady down here (left my water down here whilst I explored for the day) and there's plenty of space on the bank for a chair or two so you can sit by the water. The water looked perfect for boiling and filtering and although not deep here, was plenty enough to have a paddle and a freshen up in. There is a pub less than 1km walk away (turn left out of the gate and just walk straight along the road) and it's food was really good. Church Stretton is a lovely little town (Berry's served amazing cake). Carding Mill Valley is a truly beautiful walk (do the green route, which isn't marked on the NT notice board but takes you up and over the waterfall) and Caer Caradoc and the surrounding hills were flipping lovely (if you hike Caer Caradoc, there is a little cave to be found too, marked on OS maps). You can walk Caer Caradoc straight from camp, but if you decide to drive to another starting point, as I did, to ascend via Three Fingers Rock (steep but cool), there is a layby on the B4371 by Gaerstone Farm to park in that makes a good starting point. Bonus is the farm has a little hut with vending machines stocked with ice creams, chocolate, other snacks and a coffee machine for your post-hike energy boost. Lovely space, easy parking, loads to do in the surrounding area. Suspect I will be back!

Just camped here at the end of July, the trees do a great job of keeping you out of oppressive heat. The woodland is just small enough to easily get the lay of the land about you but big enough to have multiple good clearing spots to choose from. Had a lovely night listening to owls, and kites in the morning. Plus, the OS Herts & Beds walking book has a 6 mile, figure of 8 shaped walk, 10min drive away at Barkway!
