Beautiful spot, it feels very secluded but is only 10 minutes from a parking spot. We hiked from further away, it is worth noting at this time of year (June) the footpath from the north behind Hill Top farm is unpassable due to nettles. Access following the route card includes a small ford that can be crossed with dry feet carefully over boulders depending on water levels. It was a great location, space for one tent comfortably with a stream to filter water from.

Absolutely loved our stay here, it offered a great ease in to wild camping. It felt so peaceful and the views we woke up to were beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming answering any questions we had. We will definitely be back :)

My son and I camped at Radcliffes Corner, near Northwich, Cheshire, in May 2026, right next to the gently-flowing River Dane. The meadow besides the river was beautiful and full of buttercups and other wild flowers and grasses. Nice, even ground beside the river to pitch on, with the thick grasses providing a soft layer under the tent. Generally quite peaceful, with the occasional aeroplane flying from/to Manchester airport, but no footpaths or right of ways through the meadow, just one farm property in sight across the river, with some cattle and horses for interest. We enjoyed watching a kingfisher occasionally flying up and down the river, as we sat on the high-sided bank and dangled our legs over! Plenty of other wild birds around and a few bats and two owls spotted at dusk, also. We parked beside the farm shop and organic café, which is very handy for a selection of food and drink, and also has a toilet during opening hours. We then walked about a quarter mile to the space over mainly good terrain, but please note some areas are boggy and uneven, so waterproof hiking boots or even wellies are highly recommended! There are great walks to do right from the wild space, with the Trent and Mersey canal nearby. Overall, Radcliffes Corner is a lovely picturesque riverside wild space, feeling nicely secluded but with the convenience of the shop and café nearby. I would highly recommend, especially for kids who love exploring!

RECONNECT WITH NATURE

20230922_111546.jpg

These are spaces in nature, almost entirely untouched. In fact some have seen only a handful of people in a generation. The lack of humans have ensured these spaces provide some of the most intimate experiences in the wild you can find now in England. All within a stone's throw of the life we all know.

A HANDSHAKE OF
TRUST & RESPECT

When we set out on our CampWild project, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy. As it currently stands, only 8% of England has a right to roam & less than 0.2% has the right to wild camp. But with over 60,000,000 acres in the UK and with now well over 60,000,000 people living in them - where do we even start in our project to revolutionise access to nature?

The answer. Investing (a lot of) blood, sweat and pennies into building the infrastructure that puts our hosts first. Every little detail has been thought of to build a bridge of trust between our community and landowners, so they they can unlock their gates for the first time to the people who want to escape to the wild.

Our bespoke booking system, Code of Conduct, Snap In-Snap Out process, focus on education and passion for conservation puts a stake in the ground that our hosts can trust. We have already met dozens of incredible landowners who are revolutionising access to nature and we cannot wait to see how our network develops over the coming years.
